    “I was introduced to Nicole several years ago to begin Pilates to help me with my chronic back pain. I was not surprised when Nicole quickly showed deep understanding of the physical causes of my discomfort and laid out a program for me to build strength and flexibility.

    The more surprising part of working with Nicole has been her knowledge and understanding of the relationship between the mind and the body. She has worked with me on breathing and meditation techniques that have been very helpful in reducing stress and anxiety and in managing my back pain. Nicole has a wonderful way of connecting her guided meditations in a very personal way to the key issues that I’m facing. We are currently working on “pre-hab” exercises and relaxation skills in advance of upcoming surgery.

    Above and beyond all of this technical knowledge and skill, Nicole is a terrific person to work with. She is uniformly upbeat and even makes the most demanding work seem like fun. Even in today’s bizarre virtual world, I look forward to my sessions with Nicole each and every time.”

  • Strength Training, Yoga and Pilates

    “I first started training with Nicole nearly 8 years ago when she took over as Pilates Coordinator at my health club after my former Pilates instructor left. After several years of mostly just Pilates, although far from traditional, I began working with Nicole in strength training sessions as well. And now, since COVID hit, we've transitioned to fully virtual sessions and Nicole just continues to adapt our routines to whatever equipment I have available (or not) and to whatever we're working on.

    What was apparent from Day 1 was Nicole's vast knowledge of all types of fitness and training techniques as well as musculoskeletal anatomy and physical therapy. I would describe her as a hybrid trainer, prehab/rehab corrective exercise specialist, and life coach. And if you're worried about getting 'stuck in a rut' with the same old workout, Nicole has an amazing ability to just 'ad lib' a workout (or in some cases a breathing/meditation session) depending on what feels better or worse for me on any given day, or depending on what I'm trying to prepare for - golf in the summer, skiing in the winter, or for what I am trying to recover from - low back pain, tight upper legs (quads, hamstrings, hip flexors).

    No matter what you're looking for or what level of fitness you are starting from or striving for, Nicole can adapt a program that fits you, she's a pleasure to work with and she has been super flexible in working with me to schedule workouts when they can work for me amidst a busy work and family schedule.”
