My personal journey with strength training began 15 years ago when I transformed my body after injury. Instead of proceeding with back and knee surgeries, I hired a well versed strength coach. Even though I was an avid “gym person” at the time, I didn’t know what it meant to train properly for strength and conditioning. Before I knew it I was pain free, running 15 mile obstacle course races and leaving my desk job to become a personal trainer.

Throughout my years of personal training, my Pilates practice balanced out my muscular system and saved my joints from recurring injury- and it just felt damn good on my body! I continued my journey to become a comprehensive Pilates instructor in order to be able to offer the same combination of Pilates practice and strength training to my clients.

After leading health and wellness consultations for Luxury Yoga Retreats on an amazing yacht that sailed through the coast of Croatia, I knew the environment of retreats was where my clients would begin to witness their total health and wellbeing from a much different lens. I had the opportunity to be a first hand witness to many people making life long changes in stress management, and cultivating a more contented and joyful every day life. I realized I was meant to lead these transformative retreats abroad.

Shortly following, my Yoga Teacher Training took place on the magical and exotic island of Bali. We studied Yoga Philosophy in depth, while having direct, challenging experiences in sitting with discomfort during the process. I truly learned what it means to surrender to the present moment, trust in the process of events we do not understand, and with that I was able to let my mind and body heal simultaneously. I now lead my clients through stress relieving meditations, personalized guided visualizations, Pranayama (breath practice) and journaling to inspire their soul’s intuition to stir up contentment from within, regardless of the uncontrollable circumstances of life. The results of these additions to their Asana Yoga practice have been stress, anxiety, and inflammation reduction (not to mention feeling much better during challenging times!)
